Angolan Handball Champions visited the Sports Centre

The Luanda-based club was founded on 1st August 1977 by the local militia and it has been the flagship-team of the country. Apart from the soccer and basketball teams their women's handball and volleyball teams are known all over Africa and they are the backbone of the women's national teams of Angola and Congo.

They played five friendlies in the Sports Centre during nine days. Clube Desportivo 1 de Agosto defeated the team of Haladás, Slovakian side Senec and Hungarian side Veszprém, they drew with the Austrian youth national team and lost their final game 35:23 to Austrian side Hypo Niederösterreich, who were preparing for their EHF Champions League game against Győr.
